Risk Assessment and Risk Management

Risk assessment and risk management are an integral part of safeguarding practice.

The Risk Assessment & Management Plan for Vulnerable Young Person provides a template for addressing risk in specific situations. It can be used, for example, to assess the arrangements for a young person to safely access a service.

It should not be used as a substitute for making a referral to Children’s Social Care where there is a concern about significant harm to a young person.
