Government Guidance relating to the Coronavirus

In view of continuing measures to manage the impact of Coronavirus it has proved necessary to cancel all of our face-to-face training courses up to and including December 2020. However, we are currently redesigning our programme of training with a view to delivering webinar type virtual courses from later this month (June 2020) onwards. These new courses will be advertised separately on a month by month basis via the training section of our website and other communication streams, bookings in the first instance will still be via individual learner accounts.

Prior to the end of 2020 the situation regarding Multi-Agency Training will be reviewed and it is hoped that a phased return to face-to-face training will occur during 2021. Again further information associated with this will be published on our website. Consequently, learners should not attempt to book onto courses currently shown on our website from January 2021 onwards until further notice.

Additional e-learning modules, resources & guidance during Coronavirus measures

Tameside Safeguarding Children Partnership has suspended all Multi-Agency Training until the end of May 2020 when the decision will be reviewed. As an interim measure we would like to make available to the workforce a number of free national resources, which can be found on the E-Learning page.

Virtual Training Events using Skype for Business Web App

During June and July 2020 Tameside Safeguarding Children Partnership (TSCP) will be running a number of webinar type courses, which will replace the conventional face-to-face courses, which had been scheduled prior to lockdown. In order to facilitate these courses ‘Skype for Business’ software will be utilised.

Not all partner agencies or stakeholders will currently have access to Skype for Business, but this shouldn’t be an issue; participant’s will be invited to the event via an Outlook meeting invitation, what is important is that the participant clicks on the right link!
